Students are working on dribbling a basketball this week. After practicing they did a self progression and worked on completing levels on the quest guide. They also used their plicker magnets to keep track of what level they were working on. This allows them to work at their own individualized level. For students that could complete the whole quest they got to challenge them-self to do it again with a more difficult type ball. The plickers allows me to quickly scan the board with an ipad and I can see where each student was working by name so I can help them where they need it.

In grades 3-5th we are working on math multiplication fluency in PE with our basketball unit. Students answered multiplication facts in order to find out their group and starting position for their dribbling and ball handling skills. They rotated through 11 different skills and a few tricks. We finished off playing good old freeze tag with a dribbling twist!
We were gifted the HOPsports brain breaks by ACTIVEnetwork and Kids in the Game and we are up and using it!!! Pre K used it to warm up their bodies for PE! They were laughing and following along having a great time.
Coming back from winter break with some teamwork and problem solving. Students had to work together to figure how to transfer a set of objects from side of the gym to other with only being able to touch a noodle. It was great seeing their minds working as they figured out how to transport different items without being able to touch them at all!
