This week students worked on ending out soccer unit with a self progression activity. Students were able to work at their own ability level and challenge themselves as needed based on their current skill level. Great way to differentiate students abilities. It also allows more advanced students for the skill a chance to help others. Students use the plagnets to track their progress and allows data for me that I can save and help where needed.

Students worked on passing and shooting with precision in Hot Spot soccer. They would dribble out to a colored dot and try to score a goal, if they scored they got to take that spot back to their group. At the end they had to do some two step math to find their grand point totals. Also discussed what "precision" was and how it relates to soccer and other sports.
We are working on our soccer unit this month. We used a partner passing challenge this week to work on the skill of passing along with "precision" our vocabulary word of the week. Students started on Level 1 and moved up as they completed each task while the passing gate got smaller and smaller. We also talked about standard and non standard forms of measurements since they were using their own feet to measure their gate at each passing level.
We began our soccer unit working on controlling and foot handling. Students work on different foot work skills working on controlling their ball by trying to keep it in the hoop. They used their plagnet to show their progress on the number of consecutive touches they made within their hoop as they went through each round.
