We are working on our basketball unit this month. We started out with simple dribbling then moved into some tricks and some ball handling. Students are able to do this self guided progression on their own level at their own pace. We keep track of where they are using the plicker magnets which are registered to their names!

Students were working on stick dribbling today through self progressions. They were able to work through different sticks as well as objects at their own pace. They had to watch out for landmines as well as the other students.
Students working on using rackets in PE. They started with flipping pancakes and worked up to trying to control different types of balls. When one was working the other was working on counting skills!

Students practiced their rolling form as they tried to knock down pins. The pins had point values written on the bottom, so if they knocked it over they added those points to their score. They did a great job with using a running total to keep track of their points!
Students were working on overhand throwing at a moving target in PE. They were aiming for the emojis or the ducks from duck hunt. It was student's favorite throwing station this past week.
With the State Fair of Texas opening up we started some midway games, like giant ring toss, bucket toss and some moving object accuracy shots. The ring toss tournament was a lot of fun and kept the students engaged as they rotated quite quickly.
Students worked on tossing, throwing and catching with accuracy as they progressed through the levels. They had the opportunity to use various objects and have to discover they best way to throw them for accuracy.
